Basically, more than anything else that you learn at school is, school is how to sit still for eight hours and take orders and talk when you’re spoken to and fill out forms and stand in line. And by the time i got to be fifteen years old, i realised oh my god this doesn’t end. First I thought maybe this ends when you finish school and you’re free. Fuck no, this is just to prepare me to do this all my life. And I thought forget it, I can’t do this, I don’t have a choice, I’m gonna have to go be a musician.
